March AC-3C-MD Magnetic Drive Pump Motor
For sale- a March AC-3C-MD Pump Motor, repeat pump motor only, no pump.
This thing had been sitting around forever with the pump in place but just bare wires so I had to splice on a plug.
When I finally did that it was making an “electrical” sound but wasn’t turning or pumping.
So great, something else I have stored for ten years only to find out it is worthless.
My expectation was that the motor was worn out but I took the pump piece off so that I could scrap the motor and the motor turned freely, the pump did not.
So by then I had already torn my spliced AC plug off, had to put that back on and the motor starts and runs VERY smoothly, noiselessly.
And that was with a 110VAC input.
Now that I look at it closer it is probably looking for 230VAC.
I only ran it for a minute so I would guess no harm done.
This was a magnetically driven pump and the motor still has the magnet in place.
So either you have an AC-3C-MD pump and the motor is shot or maybe a new pump is available from March.
Or maybe you have some weird magnet drive project you’re just dying to try.
Untested other than as described, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
HOWEVER, IF you pay the asking price and it has a problem that you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
